“Moskvich’s dream” with inflatable decorations
On May 18, VDNKh opened an exhibition of the Museum of Transport of Moscow — “Moskvich’s dream”. This long-awaited exhibition is dedicated to the amazing fate of the Moskvich automobile brand and the AZLK plant.
The Moskvich’s Dream exposition occupies four halls of Pavilion 26 with a total area of two thousand square meters. Immediately inside the pavilion doors, an inflatable installation by Irina Korina meets: a giant cornucopia, made in the pompous pre-WWII Stalinist style. Which, by the way, dominated at that time at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. At the center of the gifts of abundance is the inconspicuous, almost tiny car KIM-10-50, which was the first production model of the plant named after the Communist International of Youth.
We were delighted to be part of a historic project and to make such a large-scale inflatable sculpture for the exhibition.
