Airtight inflatables Balancing Rocks
The sound of a symphony orchestra is a unique mystery that requires silence from the decor. On January 24th, a concert was held at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall to celebrate the 69th anniversary of conductor Yuri Bashmet.
In this musical spectacle, masterpieces by Russian and world composers resonated. The audience witnessed a fantastical show — a captivating blend of enchanting instrument sounds, virtuosic performances by musicians, and stunning air props.
To enhance the purity of the melodies and create a magical atmosphere, we crafted air sculptures resembling balancing rocks, which are created from airtight balloons.
The large scale prop resembles enormous boulders onto which video art was projected during the concert. In an instant, blooming trees appeared before the audience. Moments later, they were replaced by whimsical patterns. In a second, intricate designs were swept away by rolling waves.
The inflatables by Aerodinamika allowed an accurate realization of the stage design envisioned by director Viktor Kramer. Over the few hours of the concert, the audience was transported through time and space, experiencing a unique combination of music and visual art.
