Golden ball in Shakespeare's dream
Comedy awakens light in the hearts of people. Each prop, each actor's line, and every costume detail create a unique sense of happiness in the audience's soul.
On December 29th, the Sverdlovsk State Academic Drama Theater premiered the play A Midsummer Night's Dream
by William Shakespeare. The story unfolds in a magical realm of elves and fairies, with familiar themes of love, intrigue, jealousy, and passion at its core.
For this play, we created an interactive prop known as the Golden Ball. This airtight sealed balloon, with a diameter of 2 meters, is crafted in imitation of a crumpled technique. The ball is lightweight, allowing it to be safely incorporated into the performance — suspended from the ceiling, rolled, and tossed around the stage.
