Inflatable Cloud-Heaven

Bitter irony or all-encompassing love? In the play Cloud-Heaven, each audience member is drawn into a tangled narrative where they can discover answers to important life questions. The story of a small big lie in a provincial town can be seen at the Sverdlovsk Academic Drama Theater.

For the play directed by Daniil Chashin, Aerodinamika created a volumetric hanging prop titled Clouds. This balloons realistically embodies a cloudy sky beneath which the characters of the play live out their story.

The inflatable clouds, measuring 10, 12, and 16 meters in length, are equipped with internal RGB lighting. The surface of the props features a patterned print that enhances their natural resemblance to cumulus clouds. The color of the air figures changes depending on the atmosphere and mood of the moment, adding dynamism to the action.
