“The Idealised City” of inflatable decorations in Dubai
On the beach of one of the World Islands, an artificial archipelago located 4 kilometers from the coastline of Dubai, a fantastic “The Idealised City” has grown, consisting entirely of inflatable figures of various shapes and sizes.
The fantasy project has become part of a large-scale exhibition. The main idea is based on the concept of the ideal city by Leon Battista Alberti – a unique urban environment and architecture created for different segments of the population.
Glass buildings, white villas, skyscrapers and swimming pools with the most transparent water – all this was embodied by the Aerodinamika team in this interesting installation. In combination with each other, the inflatable decorations allow us to convey the idea that today borders no longer run “along the landscape”, but smoothly shift into the area of ??the natural and digital environment.
This idea is consonant with the legacy of Bedouin traditions, in particular, with nomadism, associated with constant movement, change, flexibility and multiculturalism. Are there boundaries between reality and fiction in the age of artificial intelligence and freedom? We tried to find the answer to this question through the prism of inflatable decorations in Dubai.
